First Post in a Minute

I got my driver's license finallyy!!! Life is good!!!
Anyway, the semester is coming to an end...kinda exciting because I know I have a semester under my belt and I am that much closer to starting my career! Also I will have a long needed break from school work for the next month and a half.
My life has been pretty interesting over the past few weeks...I will keep you guys posted...until next time....Love Peace and Hair Grease!

Running NYC

So I got up the strength and courage to start running/jogging/speed walking in the city. I've always been a bit shy about running in NYC because I always feel that I am somehow the center of attention as I run. I'm not the stereotypical NYC runner in the park, so because I am an anomaly I tend to be very apprehensive about the whole thing. To make a long story short, I finally do it and some old black creeper man decides he wants to cheer me on... I FREAKIN KNEW IT! Someone was bound to say something to me. I was thoroughly embarassed, so much so that I had to stop for a little while and just walk. Why can't people just leave you alone and let you be? Although I went back a second day because I refused to be deterred, I was extremely viligant of the people around me...making sure that they weren't staring at me oddly. This is probably a little odee to blog about but it was on my mind so I decided to just let it out to you all. I guess the moral of the story is...When you see someone you wouldn't expect to be running having a nice jog/run/speedwalk...just let them be!!!

NYC FUN...not

Back in the city for a couple days. This should be a fun experience where I can reconnect with friends, go out and have the time of my life...but that is clearly not the case with me. I am DEAD broke, being broke in the city is so bad, like the worst. On top of that I went on an interview with my old job that I had back in high school. So desperate. I hate that I have to backtrack like this but what else can a girl do? I just hope I get the job at this point. Also, caught between a crossroads right now...TBA

Explored DUMBO Today...

So I decided to step outside of my box a little and traveled the DUMBO area of Brooklyn. I stumbled upon a few nice spots. I particularly had a penchant for this used bookstore called "PS Books". The books there are used, out of print, 1st editions, and rare. I think its a great spot. There open everyday from 10am-8pm and I definitely see myself going there more often. I'm tryna get my read on now that I actually have time to read for pleasure now lol.
I think I liked this store because it had a nice post-graduate feel to it. I see it as a spot to get cheap books and to read them over by the promenade and just relax. I think I found my first summer chill spot lol

So I have this journal that I never write in, I'm thinking i should probably be my own psychologist and start writing my thoughts in it. Writing in a journal is funny though because when I plan to write in it, I can never quite think of what I want to write about. When i'm not writing in it I have so much on my mind that it makes me say "I need to write in a journal"... weird...O well. Guess I will try again.
Since i'm already blogging I might as well write a little bit on here.

So this guy that i never speak to, like hardly ever, sent me a facebook friend request the other day. He's definitely a cutie. I saw him the other day outside my house playing basketball. I was riding shot gun in my friends car, and rolled down my window to say hello. But...before I could even catch his eye to wave, he waved at me first. I know that sounds mad minute but it def gave me the googilies lol. I need to say something to this guy besides hello...When will I get the nerve to be BOLD!!!

O yea, graduation weekend coming up in 7 days! Madness!!! I can't believe the day is finally here. Im bout to buss down another 2 years of school so I can get a real job LOL... Goodbye B.A University at Buffalo and HELLO Ed S. School Psychology, Rider University!!!

Maxwell "Pretty Wings"

So the video is finally here. I've been listening to this snippet for MONTHS now. Glad to see the video is finally here. Cop Maxwell's new alblm "Black". It will be in stores in July 2009. It is the first album to a trilogy entitled "Black Summers Night". I can't wait til it drops!!! If you have time, listen to the live version on Youtube. That is the version I fell in love with.

Good times, with good people. Playing spades, sipping on some wine coolers. Good stuff. I haven't blogged in mad long and I know this is a little random but oh well. Stay tuned...

My John Legend Infatuation is Growing!!!

I Love my Auntieeee

I went to go visit my great Aunt today. I haven't seen her in a year so the visit was long overdue. She cooked us dinner and bought all the junk food she knew we would love... we looked at old pictures of her and my grandmother when they were teenagers...Amazing. Today marks one of the best days I will probably have all year.
